This new range of lighting was born from the partnership formed by Joanna Wood and John Phillips.

Joanna, a London based international designer, has used her broad and intimate knowledge of interiors to influence her team in the conception of the range, while being sure to use only those designs which complement current trends.

John owns both a Decorative antiques outlet, and an extensive workshop that specialises in making furniture and lighting for design projects, and in the restoration of antiques.

Both John and Joanna have scoured the markets worldwide to find examples of lanterns from the 18 th century to the 1930 ‘s, and have given a modern slant to those they have decided to incorporate into the new range.

Great emphasis is placed upon hand making and finishing the items, so that the resulting object has it ‘s own unique look.

It is a basic principle of the company that the product is made entirely in our workshops using British craftsmen, and employing traditional methods. Some components, such as lantern galleries and cut glass drops, have been sourced in Europe to ensure the high quality of the product, but the creation of the objects occurs in our workshops here in London.

As the range is made in close proximity to the point of sale, we are able to respond to our customer ‘s specific requirements and to offer a rapid bespoke service which will enable our clients to choose sizes, styles and finishes outside those illustrated on the website and in our brochure. We endeavour to fit into our clients project schedules, even for special orders.
